6 Dec

I had no idea that Lenny Kravitz looked so much like the late Marvin Gaye; so much so that he has been cast to play Marvin Gaye in a feature biopic. The film is still in pre-production and may never be produced. According to Movieline.com Marvin Gaye III is not happy about the part of Marvin Gaye’s life the director chose to focus on; a low point in Gaye’s life when drugs and alcohol were close friends.

JGL Directorial debut: ‘Don Jon’s Addiction’

6 Dec

Well, as you already know, I am a huge fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s and have been since he starred in “Angels in the Outfield” as a kid. After taking roles left and right for huge blockbuster films such as “Inception”, “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Looper”, Gordon-Levitt is ready to make his own film. “Don Jon’s Addiction” as it is called, stars Gordon-Levitt himself, Scarlet Johansson and Tony Danza, who oddly enough was also in “Angels in the Outfield”. The movie is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2013 and will then be released in the U.S.

Ashton Kutcher plays Jobs

If you were to die tomorrow, what actor would you want to play you in the movie version of your life? Interesting thing to think about; I guess Steve Jobs was praying that Ashton Kutcher would be the guy to portray him, cause that’s who he got. In the up-and-coming “Jobs” biopic, Ashton Kutcher plays the innovative genius Steve Jobs. At first glance I thought this role match seemed peculiar but at second glance, Kutcher greatly resembles a younger version of Jobs. See for yourself below.

Don’t you hate when a television or movie series changes actors mid-way through? Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire changed the character of Vivian after 4 seasons and the show lost part of its appeal in my eyes. Well then you will be happy to hear that Episode 7 of the Star Wars series is looking at bringing back original actors Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fischer as Princess Leia, and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. The Huffington post talks about the likelihood of the actors’ return and ponders the question of who should direct? The film will be released in 2015, and Lucas, has already stated that he wants Episode 7 to be a part of a new trilogy, which would include an Episode 8 and 9.

If I started talking about Sonny John Moore, most people who ask “Who?” But if I referred to him as his stage name, Skillex, then they might know who I was talking about.
